1. Medical University of Debrecen consists of 22 basic science departments and 25 clinical departments. It was founded in 1912.

Nowadays, this medical school serves as a city hospital, which makes it easy for students to practise on-site. A degree from this university will allow you to work all around the world.

If you donโ€™t feel prepared enough to take on the road to the medical world, this school offers a 6-month preparatory course. But if you are confident in your choice, it provides English language courses in medicine, dentistry and pharmacy.

The duration of the medical programme is 6 years, costing annually. Dentistry and Pharmacy last 5 years. The D.M.D. courseโ€™s cost is โ‚ฌ13,600 per year, and the pharmacy's is โ‚ฌ6,800 per year.

The Medical University of Debrecen owns several hostels on its main campus with single, double and triple rooms. The rooms are fully furnished, equivalent to a 3-star hotel. And the prices are lower than expected, around โ‚ฌ630 per semester.

The entry requirements for this university are like most European medical schools. You need an English language proficiency, and high school certificate, and you will have to pass a written and oral exam in biology and chemistry or physics.

2. Semmelweis University of Medicine was founded in 1969 in Budapest, named after Ignaz Semmelweis. Budapest is the Hungarian capital and is well-developed in every aspect you may think of, like media, commerce, education, entertainment, etc.

Semmelweis Medical University offers medicine, dentistry and pharmacy programmes in English.

After successful graduation, the degree you will receive is recognised all around the European Union, GMC, WHO, the State Education Department and the Medical Board of California.

Studying medicine here will take you 6 years and dentistry - 5 years, both courses will cost around per year. The pharmacy lasts 5 years, and the price is โ‚ฌ10,100 per year.

This medical school has 5 dormitories with a total capacity of 700 beds. However, because of the high number of students there, it might be a little harder to get a room.

This will cause you no trouble because rent prices in Budapest are around โ‚ฌ200 monthly.

Your admission will depend on your results on the entrance exam. It consists of 4 multiple-choice tests with 20 questions for 20 minutes per subject.

The subjects are Biology, Chemistry, General English and Biomedical English. Also, you will need to attend an interview to outline your knowledge, skills and motivation.

3. Szeged University was founded in 1872, but in 1951 the medical school was established as an independent institution. In total, more than 21,000 students attend this university.

It offers not only medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy courses but also a foundation year, all in English.

The medicine programme duration is 6 years and costs around per year. It starts with 2 years of studying the foundations of medicine.

During years 3 and 4, you will extend your training with clinical practice. And the 5th and 6th years are the clerkship years. Dentistry lasts 5 years with a price of โ‚ฌ15,600 per year.

The pharmacy course lasts 5 years at the cost of โ‚ฌ10,400 annually. After successful graduation, you receive the title Doctor of Pharmacy, and your degree is accepted all over Europe and the United States.

To apply for this university, you will need a high school certificate, an English language certificate, and to pass an entrance examination.

Szeged University medicine

4. University of Pecs is a Hungarian public educational institution located in Pecs. It was established in 1912 and nowadays hosts over 20,000 students, of whom around 20% are international.

This medical school offers medicine, dentistry and pharmacy programmes in English as well as a preparatory course.

Here, you can choose the duration of the preparatory course, which can be 5, 10 or 15 months. Its fee varies according to the duration between โ‚ฌ4,200 and โ‚ฌ9,300.

The M.D. programme lasts 6 years and costs per year. The course is mostly dedicated to bedside training. The dentistry course duration is 5 years at the cost of โ‚ฌ17,350 annually.

Pharmacy takes 5 years, and the price is โ‚ฌ9,700 per year.

Pecs University has 4 dormitories for the students. And at a very reasonable price of โ‚ฌ130 monthly.

The school has only a veterinary course in English.

Studying veterinary medicine here takes 5 years to complete. The annual tuition fee is , paid in 2 instalments before the beginning of each term.

The University of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest offers a dormitory with a total capacity of 346 students. But if you prefer private accommodation, there is plenty of options around the city.

The application process here includes taking an entrance exam and attending an oral interview. The written test is in Biology and Chemistry held in English. The interview will evaluate your motivation to study.

The EAEVE recognises the university, and after graduation, you are allowed to start practising as a veterinary doctor all around the world.
