Life as a Medical Student in Lodz, Poland

According to the legend, an explorer named Janusz travelled the stream by boat when a storm broke out. The man took the boat out and turned it upside down to shelter himself from the rain. In the morning, he was so happy with his accommodation that he decided never to leave. Soon, others joined him, and they decided to name the city “boat”. That’s how Lodz began.

Today, Lodz is the third-largest city in Poland, with 600,000 people. It has a historical reputation as a cultural meeting place because of its rapid growth in the 20th century. During that period, Poles, Russians, and Germans worked peacefully together to bring forth prosperity.

The street has various institutions, restaurants, clubs, pubs, and shops. Moreover, Piotrkowska has international fame and status due to all that it offers to pedestrians.
