About the University of Belgrade

The University of Belgrade was founded in 1808, but nowadays, it is one of the largest European universities, with almost 100,000 students. The school consists of 31 faculties in different areas of study. Also, 12 research institutes belong to the faculty, including one for medical research.

Belgrade is home to around 1.7 million inhabitants and is the largest city in Serbia. It is also the country’s capital, situated at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. University of Belgrade Tuition Fees

The medicine course’s tuition fee is per year. You can pay once before the start of the academic year or in 2 installments before the beginning of each semester. The pharmacy course is 5 years, and the annual tuition fee is €3,500. Competition is very high, since there are only 8 seats available into the programme of studying pharmacy in English language.

University of Belgrade Admission & Entry Requirements

Applying for the English-taught medicine course requires passing an entrance exam. The examination consists of a written part and a personal interview. The written part includes Biology and Chemistry questions at a secondary school level. The minimum passing score is 31 points out of a total 60. Both parts of the test will also evaluate your English language skills.

The ranking score is based on your passing grade on the exam and your high school leaving certificate grades. It is obligatory to have at least C grades.

Term Dates

The academic year starts on the 1st of October, and the teaching period for the winter term is held until the end of December. The examination session is from the beginning of January until mid-February. 

The summer term starts right after the winter exam session and finishes at the end of May. There is an examination session during the whole summer.
