Charles University is a public higher education institution established in 1348. It has 17 faculties located in 3 cities in the Czech Republic - the capital Prague, Hradec Králové, and Pilsen. Many of these faculties offer medicine courses in English, but only the one in Hradec Králové has a pharmacy programme in English.
The Faculty of Pharmacy is located in Hradec Králové and was established in 1969 by a government decree. The city has a long history which can be seen in its old towers and cathedrals. Between the two World Wars, the town became a centre of modern Czech architecture. At this time, the Faculty of Pharmacy is the only Czech medical school that teaches pharmacy in English.
The faculty offers a 5-year pharmacy course entirely taught in English. The programme aims to prepare students who can start practising right after graduation. The faculty has its garden of medical plants, where you can learn how to take care of them and use them in practise.
During the course, you will learn about different medications and drugs. How they are created, and the ways of interactions between different pills and food or alcohol, and different types of organisms.
The university doesn’t offer graduate entry and doesn’t accept student transfers. Also, there is no foundation year here. Medlink Students will provide you with materials for competitive scores at the entrance exams and a good start to your studies.
The faculty is located at Akademika Heyrovského 1203 500 05 Hradec Králové, Czech Republic
