Grodno is located in Western Belarus at the Neman river, close to the Polish and Lithuanian borders. The city has a population of over 370,000 inhabitants. Grodno dates back to the 11th century but nowadays, it is a modern, well-developed city with large shopping centres and museums to commemorate the history of the town.
Grodno State Medical University offers an MD course fully taught in English. It aims to prepare capable doctors with strong knowledge in medicine. Some departments are located in hospitals and provide students with excellent practical experience.
The university doesn't offer advanced MD and doesn’t accept students willing to transfer universities.

The annual tuition fee for the medicine course is € 3800. The preparatory course costs €1,900 paid once.
The admission is based on an interview with each applicant. It evaluates your basic Biology and Chemistry knowledge at a secondary school level, as well as your English speaking skills.

Grodno State Medical University offers 4 student hostels located close to the university. The total capacity of the buildings is 1840 students. 2 of the dorms are of a flat type made for 2 or 3 people with a bathroom and kitchen.
The rooms are fully furnished with desks, beds, chairs, and wardrobes and are heated with air conditioners. In the dining rooms, the students can prepare their own food or have meals at the canteen.
The city of Grodno offers private accommodation at an affordable cost. For around €150 per month, you can rent a 1-bedroom apartment in the city centre. Basic utilities and Internet will cost you around €50 monthly. For food and leisure time, you will need between €150 and €200 a month.
The academic year at Grodno State Medical University is divided into two semesters. Each includes classes and an examination period in the end. Several days off and breaks during holidays are also included.
