The city has a rich cultural life, and its theatre scene deserves special attention. Over 30 theatrical groups in the city perform both on stage and off-theatre. In addition, the local classical music traditions are represented in monthly concerts at the university’s Aula.

The Malta Festival and St Martin’s Day are local holidays with significant contributions to Poznan’s life. The first features various performances, while the second is famous for the horse parade across the city.
