About Saint Tereza Medical University

Saint Tereza Medical University was founded in 1992 in Yerevan, and it was the first medical university in Armenia. It is a private higher education institution that offers medicine and dentistry courses in English. Nowadays, it is among one the most preferred Armenian medical universities. 

Yerevan is the capital of Armenia and the largest city here, with more than 1,000,000 inhabitants. Nowadays, Saint Tereza Medical University offers medical and dentistry courses in English medium. The programmes include theoretical classes and training sessions. They aim to prepare capable doctors to start practising on their own right after graduation.

The university doesn’t offer graduate entry but allows student transfers.

Saint Tereza Medical University Admission & Entry Requirements

Medical University After Saint Tereza doesn’t require any entrance exams. Applicants here receive their acceptance based on the strength of their application and their grades in the major subjects - Biology, Chemistry, and Physics from their high school diploma. The requirement for the grades is to be at least 50% of the highest possible for your country. An English language certificate is not mandatory to apply, but still, you must have strong English-speaking skills to be able to study medicine here.

Since there's no entry test for Saint Tereza Medical University, the competition is really tough. Accommodation

The university has hostels available for international students. The rooms are equipped with all the necessary furniture - beds, chairs, desks, heating, and Internet access. Living in the dorms offers easier socialising between students and a comfortable living during your studies. 

In the dorms, you can also find the canteen, washing and drying facilities, and study rooms. The rent per year is around €1,400, including electricity, water, and heating utilities. 

Students who prefer to live on their own in Yerevan can rent their own 1-bedroom apartment in the city centre for around €300 per month. Outside the city centre, you can rent a flat for the average price of €180. Other expenses depend on your living standards, but around €400 per month must be enough.

Term Dates

Here, the academic year consists of two terms. Each term includes theoretical and practical classes. At the end of the semester, there is an exam period. Also, there are several breaks and days off around the holidays.
