About the English Pharmacy Programmes in Ukraine

The pharmacy programmes in Ukraine for international students are taught entirely in English and online, allowing students to earn a recognised degree remotely while remaining safe and flexible in their studies. The courses last for 5 years and upon graduation students are awarded a BPharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) degree.

The curriculum is structured around modern pharmacological training that is aligned with EU educational standards, making it an ideal choice for international students. While studying pharmacy in Ukraine, students build a comprehensive foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, which is divided into 3 main parts:

Years 1–2 of the curriculum are devoted to building a strong theoretical foundation, which includes General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Botany. This is then followed by Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry, after which students start their courses in drug formulation and pharmaceutical calculations.

In Years 3–4 students learn about Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences - Pharmacology, Toxicology, Clinical Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacognosy, Pathophysiology, Drug Delivery Systems, and Pharmaceutical Marketing.

The 5th and final year is devoted to writing a master’s thesis as a final project  on a pharmaceutical topic, often involving drug synthesis or public health. At this point, students get the option of enrolling in elective modules like Pharmacoeconomics and Pharmaceutical Law.
