The ACS Doctor of Medicine and Surgery programme is a 6-year medical degree in English worth 360 ECTS. The course is based around a modern, competency-based curriculum designed to prepare students for clinical practice in Europe and worldwide.
ACS offers a supportive student-centred learning environment. Education is carried out in intentionally small learning groups, so students can benefit from direct and close guidance from their professors.
A major advantage of studying medicine at ACS is its practical learning that gradually transitions into real-world clinical environments via accredited partner hospitals and medical centres. This allows students to gain hands-on experience in core medical departments such as Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Emergency Medicine, and more. Through clinical rotations, students get to learn directly from experienced doctors and develop the skills required for real-world clinical practice.
The course is structured over 12 semesters and covers biomedical sciences, clinical sciences, medical ethics, public health, advanced clinical training, and more. Students progressively build essential skills such as patient examination, clinical reasoning, emergency response, communication, professional conduct, and more.
Upon graduation, students receive an internationally recognised degree from the Medical University of Plovdiv and are fully prepared to pursue medical careers across the EU and internationally.
The Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) programme at ASOMI College of Sciences is a 6-year, 360 ECTS degree taught entirely in English.
The curriculum offers a complete education in dental science and covers preventive dentistry, restorative techniques, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and clinical patient care. Students at ACS go through a gradual transition from theoretical study to extensive hands-on training in modern dental clinics and facilities equipped with the latest technology in dental education.

Clinical internships are a core part of the programme, through which students gain real-world experience in accredited partner clinics in Malta. At this point in the curriculum, students learn to diagnose, plan treatments, and carry out dental procedures under the supervision of experienced dentists.
Graduates at ACS earn an internationally recognised dental degree awarded by the Medical University of Plovdiv.
ASOMI College of Sciences’ research department is dedicated to advancing knowledge in medical sciences, neuroscience, behavioural studies, artificial intelligence, and big-data analytics.
