The faculties of Medicine and Dentistry at Near East University in Nicosia, North Cyprus, were the first to be opened in Northern Cyprus.
Living Costs
Around €276 per month will cover general students living fees including accommodation, transport, utilities, books and groceries.
Admission
Students must present good grades in two of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Maths, or Physics in their high school certificate in order to compete for a position. Examples of high school certificates are A-levels, Baccalaureate or the final leaving certificate. The deadline for applying via Medlink Students agency is Late August. Currently, students do not have to sit an entrance exam
Term dates
The first semester begins in September and ends in December. The second semester begins on 1 February till late May. The academic year is 32 weeks (7 months) long. Exams are usually held in January and June.
